Centerville Community Park located at 50 Penn Drive, Newville, PA 17241

Exciting changes are in the works at Centerville Community Park! You may have recently noticed the additions of 3 additional  play structures, new swing sets, welcome boards, additional bench seating with trash receptacles located around the park and 2 new fenced-in Pickle Ball Courts. A small picnic grove was created that has 2 regular sized picnic tables, 2 ADA picnic tables, 2 charcoal grills and newly planted trees. We installed a new large charcoal grill next to the pavilion and would like to highlight a little library Book Nook that was created and donated by a local resident. Paved ADA walkways have been installed to connect all areas of the park, along with ADA parking spaces at the pavilion parking area. We hope you will stop by for a visit, even with colder weather on the way!

These improvements were made possible by grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Cumberland County Land Partnership Program, as well as support from the community.

The Penn Township Parks and Rec Board is in the process of creating a comprehensive plan outlining our goals and objectives in the development of recreational facilities and programs in the township. As we continue improvement and development plans for Centerville Park and other recreation areas, we are requesting your feedback on the types of recreation opportunities you would like to see.

Centerville Community Park Pavilion

Centerville Community Park Pavilion is a large covered pavilion with 13 picnic tables that seats up to 100 people and is available to be rented for a small fee. It has easy access to playground equipment with ADA accessible swing sets, Pickle Ball courts, walking trails, the basketball court a picnic grove with picnic tables and grills, and a large grass areas perfect for soccer, football, barn-yard Olympics and other activities. Benches and trash receptacles are situated near the playground equipment and along the walking trails. Doggie “Disposal Bags” are located across from the pavilion and near to the basketball court.

Amenities: paved parking area, electrical connections, trash receptacles, walking trail access Seasonal: water via hand pump and on-site Port-a-Jon
